This policy explains what information Baseball 162 (“the game,” “we”) collects when you use baseball162.app, and how it’s handled.
Playing the game. You can play with no account and no personal information. The game runs in your browser; your roster and choices stay on your device unless you choose to submit a leaderboard score (below).
Analytics. We use Simple Analytics, a privacy-first service that records aggregate visit data (page views, referrer, country, browser type). It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information.
Feedback / contact form. If you use the in-game feedback form, you may optionally provide a name and email, along with your message and (if attached) a snapshot of your current in-game roster. This is sent through Netlify Forms and used only to read and respond to your message. Name and email are optional — leave them blank if you’d rather not share them.
Leaderboards. If you submit a result to a Daily Challenge leaderboard, we store your in-game picks, your computed score, the challenge date, a randomly generated display handle, and an anonymous account identifier. We do not store your IP address, email, or real name on the leaderboard. If you choose to link a sign-in to save your runs across devices, the sign-in is handled by Supabase; any email from that sign-in stays in the secure authentication system and is never shown publicly or placed on the leaderboard.
Server logs. Our host (Netlify) may automatically record standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) transiently for security and to operate the site. We don’t use these logs to identify individual players.
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to save leaderboard runs, a session token is stored in your browser so you stay signed in — this is functional, not tracking, and is cleared when you sign out.
We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising. Data is processed only by the service providers that run the site:
Baseball 162 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
You can play entirely without providing personal information. You may request access to, or deletion of, any information you’ve sent us (such as a feedback message or a leaderboard entry) by reaching out through the contact form.
Feedback messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and address the issue. Leaderboard entries are retained to keep historical boards intact, but you can request removal of your own entries at any time.
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
